Why Kuerate Exists?

A Response to a Thoughtful Question

This morning, I had the privilege of receiving a comprehensive and lengthy email from a respected communications professional. It both enquired about Kuerate and offered some valuable insights. Aspects of the correspondence were too important not to share, as it summarises our position so well.

  The Motivation Behind Kuerate

There are many motivations behind Kuerate — here are just a few.

What's in your Feed

Only approximately 20% of your  content feed is relevant to you. See the video evidence below

  • 1. My content feed this morning (22 Oct 26). Of the content served to me: 21 ads, 7 suggested content pieces — all AI-related and probably AI-produced — and just 7 pieces from my broader network.

  •
  • In purely numerical terms:

    - 60% of my feed was advertising — and almost none of it related to my interests or expertise.

    - 20% was "suggested content," the majority either about AI or in fact AI-generated. Again, nothing in my zone.

    - Only 20% was my broader network, covering topics I actually have an interest in.

  • Is this familiar?

2. Spam from leaked contact information. I receive roughly 150 spam emails a day; many people get 400–600. I believe this largely emanates from LinkedIn sharing data with multitudes of third parties, especially CRM companies. It's not the only place, I'm sure — but having used CRM and lead generation myself, I know how easy it is to get contact info.

3. Social impact. I'm unaware of where LinkedIn and Microsoft are making a genuine one.

In short, there are many motivations behind Kuerate — and why LinkedIn cannot remain the monopoly for social and professional networking.

Specific questions:

1-By offering users control their content, does it create a bubble and exclude diverse content?

On filter bubbles — we absolutely don't want Users living in a bubble; we believe in the user's right to choose. Forcing content down people's throats — especially AI-generated content — is not respectful, and that is what we're fighting against. Our filtering structure doesn't limit; it empowers users with choice they can change at will.

 2-Should people abandon LinkedIn?

We're not foolish enough to believe people will abandon LinkedIn when their base and network are well established. We advocate a parallel profile that serves a different purpose. For example:

- You can easily create a post in Kuerate and copy it, format-ready, into LinkedIn — so parallelism is effortless.

- We enable selective import of connections into Kuerate, so users can focus on and better manage the relationships that matter (Quality over Quantity: Relationships vs Contacts).

Kuerate is a credible Linkedin alternative.

What we deliberately did not want is another heated, angry platform like X. There are plenty of those. We wanted a quieter, more sophisticated environment where you bring your most important connections and do what networking is truly about — create, share, and connect with like-minded people in a trusted space where your data is never shared.

Kuerate offers-a Feature-Rich, End-to-End Platform

If you explore the platform, you'll also see its complementarity: proper relationship management, communications, events, respectful job postings, secure messaging — all underpinned by charitable contributions. We offer a feature-rich, end-to-end professional platform that allows full professional interaction:

  • CRM

  • Curated Feed

  • Jobs

  • Events

  • Pipeline

  • In-app communications

  • Charitable contribution analytics

  • Curated access to connect with you

To maintain that credibility, we require professional domains (business, government, community organisations, etc.) so bots don't invade and degrade the platform's quality. I can't see us changing that.

  Governance

We're currently evaluating what governance should look like and will shortly publish our Mission and Pledge.

If this resonates — if you're tired of a feed that isn't yours, spam that never stops, and a platform that treats your data as inventory — Kuerate is for you. Register here https://app.kuerate.com/auth/login
