Block the Noise, Not Just the Ads

Kuerate Launches Negative Keyword Filtering

Most professional networks give you one lever for your feed: engage more, and the algorithm guesses what to show you next. It's a passive system, and it optimizes for time on the platform, not for your time being well spent. The result is a feed that's part signal, part "suggested for you," and increasingly, part AI slop.

Kuerate has always let users curate what they see, that's the "More Curation" in our tagline, not a marketing line. Today we're extending that control in the direction that matters most to a lot of you: what you never see again.

What's new: negative keyword filtering

Alongside the positive keyword and tag filters you already have, the ones that surface more of what you care about, Kuerate now lets you set negative keywords. Add a term or tag to your block list, and posts containing it stop reaching your feed. No exceptions, no "we think you might still like this."

Want less of a specific buzzword, a recycled hot take format, or anything tagged as low-effort AI content? Block it. It's your feed, filtered on your terms, not tuned for someone else's engagement metrics.

This pairs with the AI-disclosure filtering already built into Kuerate: you can already choose to see human-only content, and now you can go a layer further and name the specific words and topics you're done with.

Why it's a two-sided win

For users: A feed that gets quieter over time instead of louder. Every block is a permanent instruction, not a one-off "not interested" that the algorithm forgets by next week.

For content creators and Kuerate's professional-outreach tier: Positive keyword targeting means your posts reach people who've actively opted into that topic, not a maximized-reach audience that includes people actively trying to avoid it. Precision beats volume. You're no longer guessing whether your message will land; the audience has already told the platform what they want to hear from.

For the network as a whole: A feed that's shaped by the people using it, not by an engagement algorithm optimizing for a metric you never agreed to.

How it fits Kuerate's model

This isn't a bolt-on feature, it's the same principle behind everything else we've built: you set the terms. You set your Access Rate for unsolicited outreach. You choose your nominated charity. You decide who verifies you (a work email, not a facial scan). Keyword filtering, positive and negative, is that same idea applied to content instead of contact.

If you've ever caught yourself thinking "I wish I could just filter out [specific words and phrases] from my feed" , that's the feature. It's live now.
